The Protea Hotel Dolphin Beach is a modern holiday complex set on a white powdery beach looking out over the bay onto Table Mountain and backing onto wildlife filled wetlands. The 32 modern apartments open onto balconies with ocean or river views and provide open plan dining and living areas and fully equipped kitchenettes. Standard amenities include air conditioning, Internet connections, satellite television, telephones, and hair dryers.
Guests can work up a sweat with a game of volleyball on the private beach and then go for a refreshing dip in the hotel's outdoor pool. A shuttle bus runs from the airport to the hotel. Alternatively taxis are available and the cost to the hotel is approximately R240. From the airport, take the N2 towards Cape Town and then the Milnerton/M5 North. Exit for Paarden Island/Milnerton and continue along this road (Koeberg Road) through a number of traffic lights. At Boundry Road, turn left towards the ocean, and at the next set of traffic lights turn right opposite Leisure Bay into Otto Du Plessis Drive (R27). Continue on this road through Milnerton and past the golf course on the left. On entering Tableview, turn left at the traffic lights into Marine Drive and the hotel is on the left.
